Goregoon's Garage: How to fix your sliding glass patio doors (part 1) Video
This is the first in what I hope to be an extensive series of videos. This 2 part how to is on replacing the "meat & potatoes" of your sliding glass patio doors. (part 2 can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbD-lapqDeM ) If cleaning out the track and adjusting the wheels doesn't work, replace the wheels. It's an easy, cheap project that will make you feel like you have new doors. Enjoy, hope I've done OK. I'm sure following videos will improve as I am not used to narrating myself when I work (talk to myself? yes... narrate? no)
Hey, if this video helped you out I would sure appreciate a thumbs up from ya! Thanks!!

Very entertaining and? informative. I need to go make myself a grilled cheese sandwich though.
Another thing I ...
Another thing I thought is that your wheels could be adjusted all the way out. Try to adjust them (if they are not seized) so the door? drops down. It could be just your wheels catching the lower lip. The wheels could be broken too, hanging down and may need someone with a screwdriver to lift the wheel up while you maneuver the door.
Hope this helps!
Hopefully she won't ...
Hopefully she won't be doing anymore face plants into that door soon!

That was one of my first few vids if I remember correctly, I'm glad I was bored and did it too? as it seems to be appreciated by many people.
I am glad to have been able to help so many with what I figured was a boring 2 part video that no-one would bother sitting through!
You shouldn't have ...
You shouldn't have to remove the stationary door and without seeing it I'm not much help. Maybe there is a removable guard of some sort up on the? top rails to limit the door from lifting over? Or, maybe look at the top of the door itself and see if there are screws that may adjust the height limit to the door itself? I'm no pro so I don't know what kind of door systems could be lurking out there.
I'll find where I found the intermission sample from and get back to you, it's been awhile. :c)
